Treasury's Inflation-Indexed Securities Reference CPI Numbers and Daily Index Ratios
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Office of Financing April 1, 1999 (202) 219-3350 Public Debt announced today the reference Consumer Price Index (CPI) numbers and the daily index ratios for the month of April for the 30-year Treasury inflation-indexed bonds of April 2029. This information is based on the non-seasonally adjusted U.S. City Average All Items Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor. In addition to the publication of the reference CPI numbers (Ref CPI's) and index ratios, this release provides the non-seasonally adjusted CPI-U for the prior three-month period. This information is available through the Treasury's Office of Public Affairs automated fax system by calling 202-622-2040 and requesting document number 3059. The information for May is expected to be released on April 13, 1999.
